Shooting and developing 16mm.

Ruangrupa is an initiative established in 2000 by a group of artists in Jakarta. It is a not-for-profit organization that strives to support the progress of artistic ideas within the urban context, by means of exhibitions, festivals, art labs, workshops, research, and publications.

In April 2013 we were part of their ARTLAB residency program. At the end of our stay we conducted a workshop where participants shot a roll of 16mm reversal film in the Tebet neighborhood in Jakarta. They developed the roll in Ruangrupa’s bathroom and we screened the footage in Ruangrupa’s RuRu gallery that evening.
